Submitting a Nomination
Nominations will be accepted by email or through the online nomination form on the WomenActive-NS website.
A PDF is available for download to be completed by hand.
Emailed nominations should be sent [email protected]
An email will be forwarded to notify the sender that their nomination was received.
An email will also be sent to the Nominees to inform them of their nomination, without disclosing who made the nomination.
Nominations will be reviewed and senders will be contacted if their nomination is incomplete.
We ask for name, address including postal code, email, and phone number of nominee.
To nominate programs, facilities, or media groups, please provide the lead person’s name and required contact information.
In 500 words or less describe how the nominee meets or exceeds the criteria for the award they are being nominated for.
Two individuals must verify the information is correct; accurately depicting the person(s) and/or initiative.

The WomenActive-NS Trendsetter Awards Selection Committee will score each nomination separately.
All scores for all nominees will be totalled.
Awards will be formally announced during the WomenActive Trendsetter Awards brunch.
All nominees will receive a certificate of recognition from WomenActive-NS.

Who can make nominations?
Nominations are accepted from anyone including a person who is part of a team being nominated.
Who is eligible for awards?
Nominees may be anyone currently residing in Nova Scotia or anyone who resided in Nova Scotia when the initiative was implemented.
Who is not eligible for awards?
Individuals on the WomenActive Trendsetter Awards Selection Committee are not eligible for awards and must acknowledge any conflicts of interest that may arise in their role.
